Help Your Child (& Yourself!)
Get Sound Asleep
Victoria Felix, Ph.D.
As a certified sleep consultant and licensed psychologist with specializations in women’s health and sleep, I am passionate about supporting the overall health and well-being of families.
Sleep is vital for healthy cognitive and emotional functioning for children, and for parents! While sleep training is a safe and effective way to teach children how to self-soothe and fall asleep independently, it is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Using my clinical expertise in behavior science and my warm, collaborative interpersonal approach, I will work closely with you to provide personalized solutions to your child's unique sleep needs and create a customized sleep plan that fits your family's lifestyle.
Investing in sleep training to support your child is an investment in a well-rested, happier, and healthier household.
Are sleepless nights draining both you and your little one? Maybe you’re working through a sleep regression or having a tough time with daytime naps? Or you’re experiencing bedtime battles with your toddler?
Do you want to work on sleep training your little one as soon as developmentally possible, but are overwhelmed, exhausted, and don’t know where to start?
From sleep shaping your newborn to sleep training your infant or toddler, I’m here to provide guidance and support to help get your little one (and yourself!) sound asleep!
Sound Asleep is best for baby… & for parents!
Healthy sleep for your child goes hand in hand with reduced parent stress. When your child has a solid sleep routine and is getting the right amount of sleep for their age, parents can also reap the benefits. A well-rested child tends to be happier, more alert, and better able to regulate their emotions. This, in turn, can result in calmer and less stressful interactions between children and parents. While the sleep plan is personalized for your child’s unique sleep needs, the support that you will receive will also be tailored to your needs as parents!
Additionally, the postpartum period for mothers can be a physical and emotional roller coaster, and having support (and getting sleep) during this journey can play an integral role in your well-being, which is very important! Planning for a newborn can be overwhelming and stressful, and typically planning for the postpartum period is overlooked. As I prioritize mom’s postpartum mental health in my psychotherapy practice, I specifically craft my newborn services do the same.
